Counter Terrorism Incident Response Course
Course Description: This course is designed to introduce the tactical officer to critical incident response for physical presence threat scenarios. Students will learn modernized employment techniques for first responders, as well as initial contact on scene. Course focus will encompass the Assault, Support, Security concepts involved with active shooter, active terrorist operations. This course is designed to provide exposure to possible threat considerations, terrorist techniques, as well as neutralization methods where maximum public exposure is unavoidable. Course Objectives: The purpose of this course is to: - Enhance the knowledge of terrorism awareness
- Provide methods of crisis resolution for active scenarios
- Conduct scenario based training and evaluation.
- Introduction to close proximity shooting
- Become familiar with proper ammunition selection / ballistics
- Become familiar with modernized employment techniques
- Crisis site management
Course Length: Five days (40) hrs - Customized curriculum availabl Prerequisite: Law Enforcement ONLY (Contracted Government Employees accepted, ie: DOD, State Dept, etc...)
