Course Description:

This course is designed to enhance basic marksmanship skills. Focus during this course will be on the individual progression of basic fundamentals. Students will be introduced to proper engagement techniques with the three major weapons systems used by Law Enforcement: Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun. Proper shooting platform, movement, use of cover and malfunction resolution will be demonstrated and explained in great detail. This course is designed to train the officer for the 'street', not just simply teach him / her how to qualify on the range. All training is conducted as it happens for real: while conducting traffic stops, domestic disputes, approaching a crime scene, close quarters and many more. Officers will come away from this training with a full understanding of how proper technique and marksmanship ability will make the difference between life and death.

Course Objectives:

The purpose of this course is to:

• Enhance the skill set and tactical base level
• Extinguish 'yard line' shooting mentality
• Conduct scenario based training and qualification
• Introduction to optical gun-sights
• introduce transitional techniques with multiple weapons systems
• Become familiar with proper ammunition selection / ballistics
• Become familiar with modernized employment techniques
• Weapons retention / Close quarter defensive tactics

Course Length: Five days (60) hrs - Customized curriculum available

Prerequisite: Law Enforcement ONLY (Contracted Government Employees accepted, ie: DOD, State Dept, etc...)

Type of Instruction: Classroom, field / range and practical application
